Trump's followers think they have discovered something new, but there are really only so many possible types in politics. Trump is a fascist, just like the other fascists we fought in the past. Even the worst of them, Hitler and Mussolini, didn't originally rise to power calling for torture and genocide as Trump has. Those were just the results of their extreme ideology. Trump is worse. All our officials have an obligation to denounce him in the strongest terms.
