MSM deserves oblivion via suit or otherwise. They failed us into a fascist dictatorship. Let them burn.

Hi pals - one step closer to the fascist regime per: Kimmel's cancelling. It's predicated on content, not "the show is too expensive" (in the case of Mr. Colbert) so Mr. Kimmel might have a first amendment case.

Personal note, I may tomorrow be forced out of my profession of 20 years, bullying by corporate. More time with my elderly cats - ta, AAZC

This man has wiped his ass with the legal system his whole life.

Personally, I’m beginning to have a VERY dim view of a system that’s great at bullying “little people” but can’t seem to rein this asshole in and put a stop to this bullshit.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves, everyone who’s part of this bunch of fuck-ups. Every cop, every prosecutor, every judge and bailiff and clerk, every corrections officer. You’re all incompetent halfwits and your system is a joke. Fuck you all. This is YOUR fault.

"Bad tone? Or are you just too much of a coward to answer a simple question?" Come on, does no one have any fucking courage anymore? The fucking loser isn't going to like you, and he's going to call you all sorts of names, so just crush him. "Is it true your wife worked illegally as a model after moving the US? Shouldn't she be deported as well? Is your son not an anchor baby to keep your illegal wife in the country? How many deals have your other two idiot children done in your name while you've been president? Is your daughter still signing deals to get trademarks in China? What gives you the right to murder people in international waters? Doesn't that make you not only a murderer yourself, but also a war criminal? Do you know anything about tariffs, or are you too stupid to sit down and read a book? What was the last book you read? Can you even read? Who writes all those executive orders you sign like you're bestowing wisdom on the masses when really all they do is make things worse for everyone in the country?"

The babbling fool won't be able to respond fast enough, and it'll make him look like the confused old man he actually is.

This list is amazing and I really, REALLY want to see any one of, or preferably all of, these questions asked of him, yesterday. I keep saying this too - even if you do bend the knee and coo nicely to him, he's still a dipshit child who is going to call you names, blow you off, change the subject, and tell you to "be quiet." So why not just go scorched earth? (Which used to just be, doing journalism, but I digress)

Trump was also reportedly the victim of a hate crime when he went on his “look at how I ended crime in DC” dinner when the other customers told him how much they hate him. So much for ending crime!

A modest proposal: The American people sue Trump for $30 trillion for the damage he's done to the nation. That's one year's GDP roughly. If Stinky can't afford it, he can get his oligarch buddies to chip in. Skum can chip in $2 trillion and Tim Apple as well. The Koch family and whoever owns Cargill can chip in a trillion each. The total value of all the property in the nation is roughly $180 trillion. And the oligarchs have hoarded at least half of that.

"...settling with Mad King Donald in the near term is less risky than fighting all the way to the Supreme Court and seeing the old landmark case, and press freedom, shunted aside by whatever horrors might come in a Trump v. Times opinion written by Sam Alito."

Yes, it's much better to "save" Times v

Sullivan by throwing it in a ditch yourself. If the media isn't gonna use it, then it's dead as a doornail already.

Fortunately, the NYT has perfectly valid, bottom-line reasons to nut up, reasons that dovetail perfectly with their longstanding survival strategy of catering to the beliefs and biases of their privileged, faux-liberal subscription base. Paying Trump off is one thing; visibly and publicly soft-pedaling the hardest of hard news that their subscribers are VERY interested in is quite another. The only danger is if Siulzberger decides that he's clever enough to play both sides of the street (hint: he's not).

Whatever they've been doing for their subscription base isn't working so well. I quit paying 2 years ago after reading it for 55.

Their core readership is upscale, privileged, and fluctuates between being vaguely liberal and hatefully reactionary depending on whether or not their own privileges are being called into question. But they know that a general persecution of prominent liberals means that they'll be on the front lines for this battle, like it or not.

One, I guess, accusation in Trump's NY Times filing is: "Put bluntly, Defendants baselessly hate President Trump in a deranged way."

The term "Trump Derangement Syndrome" was a takeoff on Charles Krauthammer's early 2000s "Bush Derangement Syndrome" followed by similar terms using the names Clinton and Obama.

"Trump Derangement Syndrome" is thought to have been published for the first time in 2015, when it was used to chastise Republicans the writer called "Ruling Class Conservatives." https://spectator.org/63786_trump-derangement-syndrome
