(Sorry for the delay here, Dok; life got busy and I'm just logged back in)

Knocking it the hell off, sir, and noted for future reference.

It wasn't Wait for a Ban, but wait until I'm told the line was thoroughly and definitively crossed. I honestly felt I was toeing it rather than crossing it, although that requires a Cruz-like rules lawyer viewpoint in seeing it that way (in retrospect, though, that is admittedly shaky moral ground to start with).

Regardless, though, as I said elsewhere in reply: message received and understood. Knocking it the hell off, sir.

More? OK: Bankruptcies. Sued for denying housing to blacks. Ruined small businesses all over. Serial adulterer.

Hey, this is fun!

No, you have to come with something new. Otherwise you're not playing right. Like this:

Racism. Bigotry. Liar. Fool.

OK, your turn!

Also, your list would be better if any of it actually happened.

Did you forget the rest of your ass? Is that why you came back?

I think that the definition of slavery is broader than saying that one human is the property of another. I doubt that these women were in a position to leave their employment until the debt was paid- so their economic freedom was removed. From this article, it sounds as though they were controlled by their employer, and so this fits the UN definition of modern slavery. None of this detracts from the appalling way that people who are enslaved in other ways are treated, or the seriousness of the crimes perpetrated against them.

Modern day slavery was defined by the 1956 UN supplementary convention and includes bonded labour, child and forced marriage as well as the type of slavery most famously practiced by the Atlantic slave triangle and all of them are illegal.

The anti-slavery.org website says:There are many different characteristics that distinguish slavery from other human rights violations, however only one needs to be present for slavery to exist. Someone is in slavery if they are: forced to work - through mental or physical threat;owned or controlled by an 'employer', usually through mental or physical abuse or the threat of abuse;dehumanised, treated as a commodity or bought and sold as 'property';physically constrained or has restrictions placed on his/her freedom of movement.Contemporary slavery takes various forms and affects people of all ages, gender and races.
