He solved the problem just by going to paperback. Not that it's an especially new tactic, but literary genius Donald Trump tried to make his own book a bestseller by buying thousands of copies using campaign contributions, as one does, of course. Recent FEC filings show that Trump spent $55,000 at Barnes & Noble to buy a whole bunch of copies of the book, titled
Evangelical fundamentalist fer sure! They're yooooge on "obedience." Too bad DFCS won't touch that abuse with a ten foot pole, but I promise you, they won't.
Yeah, it's my home state and I still have a house there, as well as cousins. Pat McCrory is bragging about reducing taxes, which MEANS he's reduced services, but it doesn't add up for my idiot cousins. Even though the one who is a teacher hasn't had a pay raise in 4 years and the one with an institutionalized brother has to pay more for his care.
Way back in the dark ages when I was majoring in English Lit, my focus was decidedly pre-Romantic era - I dug medieval stuff and metaphysical poets and the early novel - and had no interest in 20th century literature, and even less in American Lit overall...except for Catch-22. It's a freaking masterpiece.
My American Lit professor once attended a discussion about symbolism in Catch-22 with Joseph Heller on the panel. Some panelist was talking about how they had come up with a list of 50 (IIRC) separate symbols used within the text, and she asked Heller how many of them he intended to use. According to my professor, Heller said only about 19 of them. That just never fails to amaze me.
More like polio - just when you thought it was wiped out, some religious fucknuts see to it that it survives.
I saw this expenditure while trolling the FEC filings. I assumed they bought a bunch of copies of It Takes a Village.

I did a double take on that one, as well.Bet they did NOT look like this, either.

prolly so...
I have no doubt that he is.
Thank you. I'd like to see more of such usages, etc.
Wow, thanks, I guess it's time to come back from the fool's paradise.
Too civilized for them. They need to practice their survivalist skills.
I'm with you. I want Hillary to win. I expect Hillary to win. But life has anally penetrated me often enough that I'm not taking it for granted.
that is what life does, and sometimes life says oh by the way, Orr made it to Sweden.
I think this year, Orr gonna come through, we definitely need it.
(if you don't get the reference, Catch-22, read it)
