After an evening sweating my ass off in my living room watching the debate, I am glad to say that the maintenance guy finally came by just after midnight. He apologized profusely, and I don't blame him for taking so long--I blame the office. He gotta the AC running again, so I'll be able to sleep, and he's coming back in the morning to give the whole system a thorough cleaning. Now wee get to see if the office fixes anything else...
In other news, I didn't want to tell my boss about a colossal screw up that pissed me off, but she asked me for details about what happened yesterday. Yeah, somebody's in big trouble now. I feel somewhat conflicted--like maybe I'm just a common snitch--but at the same time, schadenfreude combined with a sense of duty eases my mind. Now I just have to see how the chips fall. (The idiot I work with decided that, instead of doing actual work like the required safety inspection, she would just sit by on the sales floor and knit during work hours.) Boss's words: "Completely unacceptable."
So for now, good night and sleep well ya filthy damn animals!
