Perhaps Governor Abbott should set up a Whistleblower line for random women to report potential rapists and those who assist them, just like the abortion hotline? "I saw him in the bar, and even though I have no proof, I just know he raped the girl he picked up. Sue the bartender too, cause he didn't cut the guy off."

Gotta keep those no-account women in there proper place before they deprive some poor, misunderstood rapist of the opportunity to refuse to support their progeny.

Why not? Demes are wimps. They let the GQP run all over them.

What don't you get about this? It's ok for them to punish women who abort but nobody can make them vax?

That's what I meant. More like the sabre they use over there.

(I'm friendly with one of his line, and that would've made you related and thus a weird overlap between the Wonket and real life, is all. But kind of you to have replied!)

It's good to hear about one effective program that Republicans didn't defund, right?

Umm, yeah the math holds. Otherwise every time a woman was fertile she would be pregnant, ergo one baby every year or so. There are only so many Mormons in this world, and even among them only a subset are into that whole "quiverfull" crap.

Thank you. This was back before medical abortions were a thing. I don't know if they have to be a set time pregnant to do a medical termination, but I don't think so; they cause the uterus to shed whatever is in there, so the earlier the better I would guess.

But what about all the Christians? Don't they get a say??

Hell no. How would Republicans win elections? I mean besides the gerrymandering, voter suppression, and just plain lying to the public?

My position is woman centered. She is a human being and deserves all the rights a human being gets including over her body and how it and its parts are used. The rape and incest exception argument bothers me because it is saying to people who believe every conception is a child that some children are less worthy of living than others. And that is a terrible argument.A raped woman or a victim of incest should never be forced to carry a pregnancy because they are human beings with the right to control their own bodies and how they are used.

Who knows how many of these horrible “bargains” have been done in the last 50 years. How may pedophiles/rapists/murderers are roaming around with impunity?

He said he was going to eliminate rapists from the streets of Texas. I notice he didn't say anything about eliminating them from the homes of Texans (i.e. domestic abusers and so on).
