I have a question. I can understand why Bill Barr's DOJ would defend Trump vigorously, but why would the DOJ now even give a shit?

I'm sure they're all in hock up to their penthouses.

Just another way that our insane income inequality is breaking the country. It's not good when some people have so much money they can render themselves untouchable.

They can buy politicians and judges (see: Harlan Crow) and hire an army of lawyers to tie things up in court for years. In a country where money = power, we've ended up in a situation where a handful of unelected billionaire fuckwads can buy themselves unlimited power.

Taxing the rich and greatly reducing income inequality doesn't just help everyone in the 99% financially, it would also force them to loosen their stranglehold on our political and judicial systems. Plus people are a lot less inclined to burn everything down when they are getting a fair shake and able to take care of themselves and their families.

So much that is wrong in America would be solved by making the billionaires millionaires.

I hate it when they go direct to video, though. I always miss out on those.

If memory serves, PAB claimed that he was going to save certain decorative structures on the front of the Art Deco buidling as part of his deal for buying it, and of course they were not saved, but destroyed also.

Since president is actually a 24/7 sort of thing, it isn't hard to argue that everything a president does is "as president." It is a clear line, and makes a lot of things easier. You don't want every person who feels slighted filing a suit.

And, if you have people following basic decorum in office, it makes a lot of sense.

The system does work with a person who's first instinct is to defame anyone he doesn't like.

Oddly enough, there seem to be gaps in them. Maybe it was the ghost of Rose Mary Woods.
