.. prob not so much that zombies "are over" but rather that in fact they've *taken over*, so what point in warning of them if they've everywhere 🧟🤔🤨😳😅🧐😼

Zombies were escapist with some prepper energy. It was less about the undead and more about dealing with the ones who remained. But then the real world made our entertainment feel too close and too real. Our maga neighbors have too much of that “I got mine so go fuck yourself” energy that the living bad guys always have in zombie shows.

Speaking of the undead, you know what I just thought of...

Back in grade school I remember learning about Ancient Egypt and how the pharoes built monuments to be interred in, along with their closest devotees and servants to be buried alive.

I thought it was a crazy relic of our ignorant past, and thank goodness we knew better in the contemporary age.

But after looking at Trump and those still clinging to MAGA... these people are not going to know which way is up after they have warped their entire 'Christian' worldview around this man

Seems like there were a surfeit of Zombie flicks after 911. I think it is tied to dropping the ball on national bereavement care.

The Jonathan Coulton song has been cheering me up all day.
