It's understandable if she also shifted further to the right, but Adam Kinzinger had a consistently conservative voting record without also sounding like Tucker Carlson.
Adam Kinzinger is no longer in Congress. In a country that worships winning, that's all that matters, especially if you have no real soul or principles.
I think this piece helped crystalize for me the trouble I have with this time. Even if I don't respect a particular belief, I can still respect the act of believing. I can debate someone who legit thinks welfare is wasteful. I can debate someone who truly doesn't believe in "socialized medicine". I don't respect religion, but certainly do not disrespect the religious. With some very obvious exceptions, I respect people who come at me with a different perspective as long as that perspective is seated in firm belief.
I find that missing in a lot of what is coming from The Right. They don't believe in anything anymore. Their main vote-getting activity involves sensing the weak points in our society and exploiting them for their direct benefit. The Right of our times no longer projects the parts of their platform that will prove unpopular, like eliminating social programming. They will simply point at some smaller group, whatever group that might be, and invent some bullshit story about how its all "their" fault.
I grew up in a household and we had debates goddamit. Hard ones, ugly ones, ones where I had to prep to go to the dinner table. But my opponents believed. Passionately. Today its...what? "Groomer"? Thats their big retort? I tell you...that argument and the person who put it forth would soon become dinner at my childhood family dinner table. And rightfully so.
I am a HS teacher, and I often hear the blather: "All view-points must be respected," and I think, NO, we have to respect people and their RIGHT to an opinion, I do not have to respect any perspective per se.

She's no wolf
Exactly! Keep your head down and vote in lockstep with your party. Wait for them to cannibalize eachother THEN make a play for it.

This monster unfortunately represents one of the best places in America.
I disagree, I don’t find it the least bit sad.
She's also a loser. She and trump were made for each other.
Well, at least she can dress like a Lite Brite to comfort herself.
I was thinking of Ilse Koch.
Ah

"I am the very model of a moderate millennial."
Scans nice.

We already know who's down in Ninth.
Trump looks at Stefanik in her dumpy suits and sees "short and fat".
Bless her heart. That is all.
