I used to live with a nice person and the kids, the significant other of this person was a Chicago cop. Of course this nice person was the cop's sidepiece, need you ask? Anyway, the cop was a fairly nice person who loved to tell cop stories. You got the cop talking about "not nice things we do to people" or just being a cop in general, and the info would flow. Just fucking up someone's day was enjoyable, and a game, especially if they were poor or homeless wypipo, blahs, or messicans.
One interesting(at the time, I was naive) tidbit the cop told me was that they used to randomly target stop n' cops, take all the dope and money, and charge them with having possessed the minimum that would put the arrestee in jail for a bit. That evidence was taken into the station. The remaining amounts of drugs and money seized were pocketed and/or sold and used, by the cops. I had to remove any identifying information.
