We know unambiguously that Elon Skum is a fascist, and he needs to be dealt with accordingly.....while my guitar gently weeps.

Since Elon Skum purchased Twitler, my account will lie fallow until it is deleted. Outmigration, HO!

I don't use Twitter, but I do use FB. I have a well-curated group of friends largely made up of people I've known for years either IRL or online from other fora for decades. Most of our dialogues involves pix regarding vacations, gardening, pets, concerts, and (unfortunately) what they had for dinner. Early on, I would occasionally comment on the page of a musician whom I considered notable and would get a friend request which I would honor. This led to me going through my People You May Know feed and going "Wow! A Pentangle, two Let's Actives, and two Human Switchboards!".

Interesting. And should we apply that to other elements of our lives, too? This idea of "if it upsets you, walk away from it fully and completely"? I suspect that different people have different ways of looking at things and, in particular, how they use media and social networks, and not all just your way.

Trump said he’s not coming back to Twitter so there’s your proof he’s going to do it.

Lets do what Drumpf asked and revike Section 230. Two hours after Drumpf's let back on and Twitter will be in violation. Then Musk will have a 450 milliin (or whatever) dollar white elephant on his hands. I mean, good riddance to it all if that happens.

Can't imagine the scion of an apartheid-era emerald mine mogul cares about the ethics of cobalt mining.

Well, actually, I assume his views on free enterprise are as childish as his views on free speech - so I guess he'd be pretty cheery about it.

Here's a factoid for you.

Wealthy people are very concerned about their LEVEL of wealth. Even though they might have what appears to be enough money to last them till they die, they have very high levels of anxiety that it isn't enough. And not because they fear just dying on the street, which is a real possibility for about 40% of the population of the world who don't exist on anything but $2-5 a day.

They are worried that they haven't made it till they hit the magic number. What is the magic number? A 'hundy'. One hundred million dollars. These people don't see themselves as making it till they can say that they own that sum. Up to that point you are still worthless poor trash apparently and not fit to hold up you head in the presence of other millionaires.

To tax these people is the biggest crime ever. Worse than Auschwitz, the Civil War, a 6 pence stamp tax on tea, diptheria outbreaks, Ebola, gays in the military, gas shortages, fires, floods, famines, tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, Mexican tar heroin, Arab terrorists, zombies, cats and dogs living together - you name it..

Being looked down on for not having a hundred million dollars. Not for not having to live from check to check. Facing dying due to no health cover. No health cover, at all. Actual hunger due to not being able to afford food. Homelessness. Discrimination and outright violence by authority figures. Nope. Not having that magic number. And the injustice of paying for their place in the society that lets them think that this is a the only goal worthy of living for.

I love how his profile pic has him clenching his teeth so hard that it probably gave him a headache. All so he could look as though he's all chiseled instead of the mushy faced doofus he is in all of his non-posed photos.

Along with the fact that Tesla has only managed to make a profit due to selling tax-payer funded credits to other car manufacturers, I need to point something else out.

Tesla doesn't make those batteries that power those cars. I thought that was wide knowledge, but it might need repeating. Those are made by Panasonic, not by some miracle method only known to Tesla.

Tangental: The upvote upchuck trollbots seem to have been turned off for the time being.

Talking about upchuck, lemmeno when TFG starts puking all over Twitter again (I'll give the POS 2 weeks tops before Elon gets as feigned kissy ass as it takes to get the fuckwad back making money for Twitter).
