After five years they are assigned to new Districts by the Judicial Conference and thereafter reassigned every 10 years. If they don't want to move, they resign. Life tenure remains. Get rid of fiefdom judicial seats by limiting the power of lifetime "district" seats

Alright, so my ENTIRE LIFE is borked right now. I wake up, wonk for a hour, then sleep another 2-3 hours, then I go to work for a couple of hours before I break and sleep another 2-3 hours. Then, I am up half the night because I can't sleep. Then, when I wake up, In the AM, I am too tired to make it through the day, so I start napping again. This has been going on for a year and it's TOTALLY FUCKED ME UP.
So starting today, it's back to the gym at 6 AM for a short walk (and weights Tuesdays and Fridays). After that, straight to the shower and on to work. If I can get out from under sleeping until 9 AM, I think I can keep the afternoon siesta which I was trying to get down to an hour, but which will probably stay for 2 hours.
The problem right now is that I have NOTHING TO DO with my free time except go to the dog park. What do you do when you are single, don't socialize, and don't need to work constantly? All I really want to do is sleep.
To answer the mostly rhetorical question: Read, watch movies, play video games, and yes, spend time here often while playing youtube videos. Depending on my mood.

It's not really making mistakes is it, because it has no understanding. It doesn't know what a mistake is (or what correctness is and why it's important, for that matter). It's throwing collected shit at the wall, and if it takes making shit up to please the user, it makes shit up.
I wonder if a lot of it is garbage in garbage out. It's drawing on sources from alllll over the place, but the good ones, the experts if you will, tend to be behind paywalls (thinking JSTOR whatevers) so it is only really drawing on the crap?
Its more that it pulls from everywhere with no way of knowing what is good or bad.

I then checked actual research papers. It wasn't even close.
That's what I mean though. The AI owners are all cheap mcmansion fucks who I doubt want to pay to train their AI shit, so I doubt they are trawling on the scientific research sites. So they are only relying on the free shit, and there is a TON more crappy free shit out there than good shit cause anyone can blog about the martians invading the vaccine supply, and the machine tries to average with the Some say this and Some say that. If it is averaging more bad shit than good, voila! The machine spits out garbage.
There's free ways to access most research papers...
But the problem is still that you would need to make AI that could apply critical thinking and weight sources...
And AI isn't capable of that because it isn't thinking.
There's some companies trying to build LLM's using only research papers I believe. But even that isn't going to be a magic bullet. Its an algorithm, not a mind.
Note that the deterioration of Google also makes double-checking more difficult.
And then also remember the thousands of examples we have of people being impressed with AI until they asked it a question on a topic they're an expert in.

I play a silly little pet site, cause it is cute and wholesome and nice mostly and also because dress up dolly fun, but anyway of late it keeps having some serious issues with lag that the poor owner/creator/guy who does it all cause smol keeps having to smack down AI bots.
Apparently, a site that is all 100% original content is a gold mine for the crawlers and that shit draaaaaggggs the site with the constant barrage of asks.
So it is not your wifi nor your browser, nor the site- it's the AI bots. Not only ripping off everyone, but ruining everyone too.

Alright, so my ENTIRE LIFE is borked right now. I wake up, wonk for a hour, then sleep another 2-3 hours, then I go to work for a couple of hours before I break and sleep another 2-3 hours. Then, I am up half the night because I can't sleep. Then, when I wake up, In the AM, I am too tired to make it through the day, so I start napping again. This has been going on for a year and it's TOTALLY FUCKED ME UP.
So starting today, it's back to the gym at 6 AM for a short walk (and weights Tuesdays and Fridays). After that, straight to the shower and on to work. If I can get out from under sleeping until 9 AM, I think I can keep the afternoon siesta which I was trying to get down to an hour, but which will probably stay for 2 hours.
The problem right now is that I have NOTHING TO DO with my free time except go to the dog park. What do you do when you are single, don't socialize, and don't need to work constantly? All I really want to do is sleep.
To answer the mostly rhetorical question: Read, watch movies, play video games, and yes, spend time here often while playing youtube videos. Depending on my mood.
