I'm a teacher. This shit is ridiculous. I've written every union rep I can, up and down the list from local to state to national, letting them know in no uncertain terms that I think vaccines should be mandatory, both for staff and students. Even in the best of times, a classroom full of students is a giant petri dish for every cold in the city.
Right now, our school district plans to mandate masking, and will probably mandate vaccines as soon as the shots get full approval (apparently there are legal issues with mandating vaccines that only have "emergency use authorization").
If I was teaching in one of the insane states that won't even allow masking in schools this fall, I'd quit. No amount of money is worth dealing with 175 pubescent disease vectors every day without a vaccine.
Oh man, I can’t even imagine. Based on my one-time nasal swab experience for the flu, I advised friends to literally sit on their hands when being swabbed for coronavirus, so they wouldn’t interfere with the process. Because when I got the flu swab, I automatically and unintentionally grabbed the nurse’s arm, which she (understandably) did not appreciate.
Time to treat the unvaccinated the way we treat drunk drivers. Both groups indulge in behaviors that endanger the lives of members of the general public but, right now, only drunk drivers are likely to be punished for it.
These wankers don’t want lockdowns, masks, travel restriction, or vaccine passports, but they won’t do the one thing which will end this stupid nightmare.

I mean, I really feel for the black folks who have every reason to be suspicious of the American health care system, but they have the choice to get a shot which the white person next to them gets from the same vial. At some point you have to say, if you’re smart enough to hold a job, you’re smart enough to work out that the vaccine isn’t another evil experiment on black people.
As for the white people spreading lies and conspiracies, there is no fate nasty enough for what they deserve for deluding people to their miserable deaths.
until it hits them in their pocket or their actual freedoms are curtailed, they will continue to do nothing. We have to make it personally applicable to their immediate circumstances - otherwise they'll continue to skate by
