I just downloaded a document that has 10,000 pages of UK, US, and a sprinkling of Middle Eastern names, phone numbers, and notes. Purportedly written by one Jeffrey Epstein.
I'm not qualified to comment on its legitimacy. The names look... plausible. At least the ones I recognize. Although I am confounded that Ivana and Ivanka are on it, but The Donald's name isn't in that list. Neither is Bill Gates's. But I also don't understand the organization. Alphabetical-by-geography doesn't explain it.
So if it's false, it should be debunked, and if it's not, why are we still looking for it?

But now, their followers know that the GOP controls all 3 branches of the government and these supposed files still have not been released. They are losing patience because they've been waiting for their vindication and their chance to say "I told you so!"
I do know they haven't released them because they either do not exist or the files do exist but they can't release them because of who in the MAGA world it implicates.
And I do know that, based on his reactions, Trump himself believes they exist and he is TERRIFIED of what they might say about him, personally.
I think this is right. They reflexively identified a situation that could be exploited to demonize the opposition and leaned into it full bore without ever considering whether it was supportable or whether it also implicated them.

I find it odd there's so much focus on Epstein's death. I could go either way. Plenty of reasons for folks in a position to do so to kill him, plenty of reasons for him to off himself. I think the most likely thing is that he was allowed to kill himself. If you're in jail, especially in the circumstances he was under, suicide isn't a possibility unless the people watching you want it to be.
Regardless, who cares? Awful man facing an abrupt and dramatic turn for the much worse takes the easy way out. It is absurd to me his client/blackmail list isn't the sole focus. And it further baffling to me that Ghislaine Maxwell almost certainly has a very thorough understanding of who is on that list. Why hasn't she traded that knowledge for a reduction in her sentence?

A prison guard I know said that particular prison was known to be lax and did not follow procedures. When the incident first happened he enumerated to me all the security violations and practices that were not followed. Epstein being allowed to kill himself is within the realm of possibility, but prison fuck-up is my Occam's razor based on what my friend told me. The "coverup" was probably the guards' covering up their incompetence.
I also have mentioned Ghislaine to several folks, and she seems to have been memory-holed in their minds. If anyone has the goods, she does. She's a piece of sh**, but I hope she hid a secret list or uploaded her black book/diary onto a cloud server. Upon her death, the secrets get spilled.
I also think Epstein took the easy way out, but darn it... I'm loving the spectacle of Republicans eating their own.
