Where did he get his B.Div.? This is a good grift for him though. Years ago to legally be a Minister in GA you needed six non-relative to swear they were part of your Congregation.

I learned about the PCA when I "accidentally" attended one of their affiliated churches' Christmas Eve midnight candlelight services thirty years ago. I was the child of a mixed Episcopalian/Presbyterian marriage and had attended both churches growing up in an affluent Chicago suburb, so what did I know from Florida "Presbyterians"? I was just hoping to sing a few Christmas-y hymns in dim light and mystic fellowship as the hour neared of the dawning of the day when we celebrate the birth of a baby with radical ideas about humankind and love, but instead I was treated to a sermon so astoundingly terrible that a) I could not believe my ears and b) it is seared into my memory to this day. Short version - "If you are a well-fed commander-level member of the US Military stationed on a battleship in the harbor of a war-destroyed Italian town in 1945, you should let starving nuns and war orphans paw through the food garbage after your Thanksgiving feast."

Yep, still seared. Nope, still can't believe it.
