Actually, he looks a lot like a friend of mine... a good, progressive, sweet man who is exactly everything the opposite of everything SMOTI is. Still every time I see SMOTI's vacuous grin in the picture, I have to do a double-take.

The Chicago urban myth/fear machine would have you believe that just about every innocent hand gesture... and probably a few facial ones too... are signs used by one rival gang or another, and that inadvertently 'flashing' one on the subway will get you killed. Seems like all you can do is just sit on your hands... except that I'm sure somebody will tell you that that is someone's sign as well.

"BREAKING:" (picture debunked 12 hours before he posted it.)

Hey SMOTI ... I don't think that word means what you think it means.

Also, paythefuckup, you brain-damaged dipshit.

It's a combination of two signs, one that points in a direction and another that says, "It's Jim Hoft."

And he was armed with a loaded lawn mower! That's never a good sign. I advise getting out of that neighborhood before it's too late.

Oh, but do you really think that the comments there are posted by real people? Seriously, you were banned because you weren't a bot.

I've seen that very same sign thrown by home plate umpires, too. So be forewarned: if you ever see anyone at the playing field wearing a wire face mask and padded chest protector, you'll know that he's a member of a notorious gang called The Umps.
