Also of note, when you add in the August (+50k) and September (+34k) adjustments, that's 255,000 more jobs in the total on this report than on the last one.

Romney attempted to claim last month that the drop in unemployment rate was due to workers leaving the work force. That's completely bogus, of course - there were 211,000 fewer people not in the labor force September than in August. This month, the number not in the labor force falls a further 369,000. In other news, Romney is still a shameless liar. Expect him to tell more lies about this report, such as claiming the small uptick in U3 means jobs were lost.

So, cue the ridiculous conspiracy theories, again. Even though the large upward adjustment for September goes to demonstrate that the BLS was not inflating that number last month.

Between this report and Chris Christie telling everyone how well the administration is responding to Sandy, this election's looking done and dusted.

Despite "unimaginably horrible good jobs numbers", which sounds like a quote directly from the Romney campaign to me.

Eeeeew. That should bring Obama's support among black folks from 95% to, maybe, 99.9%

It might be interesting, after the dust settles, to see if the updated Mitt-Bot 3000v.12 did significantly better among the voting machines, relative to paper ballots.

I was just glancing at a map and was reminded of the fact that when I went to school, the KK was still located on State Street next to the library. Argh.

Hope it's a great rally. Damn, I hope people get out to vote for Tammy. It's bad enough that my native state decided to elect that schmuck Johnson.
