Thank you for your service.

I can't imagine sitting around a room full of idiots and listening to blather from political grifters for an evening. As there isn't anyone in the audience that is going to "hear" what is being said and compare it to any other information they get from more reputable sources (like maybe that neighbor with a Harris/Walz sign in their yard) it is essentially just bearing witness to the decline of intelligence in the population.

The point of this thing was to show us that picture of the baby with the flag headband wrapped around her head. She is adorable, darling, and apparently staring at God, asking him, "Dude, for real, WTAF with all this?? And also WHAR BINKY?"

So basically these Town Halls are just micro rallies to excuse the lack of butts in the seats at an indoor venue

"Trump was flanked by Donalds"

My pre-coffee brain momentarily imagined Trump surrounded by tinier versions of himself. *shudder*

sorry you wasted your time . . . sounds like they needed a cop outside saying "move along, nothing to see here."

Exhausted from 39 minutes of dancing?

DemoCat's avatar

Look at that sleep frowning Trump is performing. He’s almost completely morphed into that angry old man Jeff Dunham puppet, but with more racism, lies and farting.

IncognitoTXusLibrul's avatar

Dammit, you stupid, racist, UAW employees...are you really so racist you can't see Trump wouldn't pee on you if you were on fire?

And since he probably stiffed [not like that, you sickos] the Russian hookers, he couldn't even get anyone else to pee on you.

Don't you understand you are you shooting yourselves, and the rest of us, with this moron stance?

UnionThuggery's avatar

Dude. It's not always racism, sometimes it's other bigotry. But it amazes me how little these people care about actual government policy, all they care about is bigotry and culture war shit.

"M"'s avatar

It's BOTH racism and sexism. Better known as misogynoir.

We need Tim Walz and Kamala Harris to do a series of YouTube tutorials for young adults whose parents didn't teach them this kind of stuff to do basic Adulting 101 things like:

* Change your flat tire to a donut

* Load the dishwasher correctly

* Change the filter on your air conditioner

* Assemble a Sauder MDF cabinet (I am in the middle of doing this right now and it's only slightly easier than an Ikea set)

* Sort your laundry

* Run regular updates on your computer OS to help prevent hacks and viruses

* Make a pie crust in a food processor

Oh lordy that's what we need. Instead of a debate in October, we need to have the presidential candidate and the vice presidential candidates team up and do a Great American Bake Off Challenge. One thing is on the menu: APPLE PIE FROM SCRATCH.

2 hour time limit.

Harris and Walz would shrug and just get 'er done. Can you even imagine Trump/Vance doing that?

Tessie's avatar

"Load the dishwasher correctly" has the potential to cause more problems than it solves.

Can we all agree that the knives should be points *down*?

"M"'s avatar

sharp ones

table knives go up

willi0000000's avatar

i wash dishes by hand (usually when i run out of clean) and always load the drain rack with silverware and knives pointing up . . . but then i'm that kind of guy!

Anzu's avatar

The other reason it's so contentious is because every dishwasher is slightly different.

You're supposed to point the dirty surface towards the sprayer., but the location of the sprayer can change depending on the brand or model.

And again, Thanks Dom for a refreshingly enjoyable campaign report.

I feel like “refreshing” and “enjoyable” are doing too much heavy lifting in that statement. I’d go with “exhausting” and “horrifying” myself.

"How many UAW Trump guys does it take to change a tire,”

All of them, that's like three or four.

sorry, it's not the current union workers you need to worry about as much as the retired ones. I've got more than 3-4 in my neighborhood. Probably 80% of the retired union workers in NEOhio are 'fuck you I've got mine' GOPers.

I was in the Operating Engineers for close to 20 years. It was bewildering to see how many members embraced reagan, bush and bush.

GladysKravitz'sCurtains's avatar

Same sad/aggravating story here in SE WI, in what once had been "union proud" territory. Our elderly neighbor across the street is a prime example of a retired union pension-collecting MAGA with a yard full of Trump and local Republican candidates campaign signs.

Major Is My Spirit Animal's avatar

The essential strength of the human race is that it can operate in coordinated ways, but unfortunately the capitalist focus on "fuck you, I've got mine" has pretty much destroyed that in our version of society.

"President Trump"

Always and forever bloviating, misrepresenting, lying, aggrandizing. Even as the farts leak out of the bloated balloon of his being, leaving Sir looking more and more like a used condom smeared with lipstick and bronzer stuck to the bottom of a MAGA's shoe it's still "President Trump".

Tessie's avatar

And yet, they invariably refer to the ACTUAL President as "Joe" or "Biden", when they're not calling him something worse.

Hank Napkin's avatar

Dates back to his debate with Palin—“… mind if I call ya Joe?”
