So, Dok, I'm happy to hear that Kid Z is behaving like a normal sixteen-year-old.

Yup, I learned a lot of my liberalism in school -- a <em>religious</em> school! In fact, much of the <strike>teaching</strike> indoctrination was in <strong>Religion</strong> class. It's true! That just shows how sneaky those Bolsheviks are! And my teachers were all Maoist <em>women!</em> (Naturately!)

I could tell that they were Maoists because they all wore identical navy-blue uniforms that disguised their figures, identical headgear that hid their hair and no makeup. Around their necks they all wore these ominous-looking emblems that consisted of some scrawny and nearly naked guy (obscene, I know, and we were <em>children!</em>) stretched out on some T-shaped frame and in their pockets they all carried these long cords that were studded with these round knobs. Although I never witnessed even one incident of it, I can only imagine the terrible ways that they tortured schoolkids with those knobby cords.

So what were some of the examples of indoctrination? Why, in "Religion" class we were taught about that Communist hero Martin Luther King, Jr. and those terrorist Freedom Riders (some from our own city of Detroit!) who were going down to the South and riling up all of the black people in the name of "civil rights." (Which some years later a man on the radio told me was code for "kill all whites.") In "Music" class we all learned how to be disrespectful Takers by singing songs written by traitors and criminals like Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger and some old guy named Guthrie. And in "Civics" class we had debates over the "morality" of the ongoing Totally Just And Purely Defensive War in Southeast Asia. As if that was even a valid question!

This all started during the regime of "Buddy Holly Love Pope" (aka John XX something-something), who wanted us to know that every day seems a little closer, comin' at us like a roller coaster, so love for all must surely be our way, and who left us much too soon. As did another guy named John who we all loved also, too.

(Excuse me a moment while I time-travel back to when I was a 10 year old boy for a few seconds...) OK, I'm fine now. Really, I am.

Anyhoo, I was "educated" in that system for 9½ years. I don't know how I ever survived it!

Indoctrinating your children is a job for the church, and they do not like competition.

By children, she means Republicans in Congress.

OT, Dok, but the proverbial shit is hitting the fan today for Toronto's lovable scamp of a mayor, Rob Ford: <a href="http://news.nationalpost.co..." target="_blank">" rel="nofollow noopener" title="http://news.nationalpost.com/2013/10/31/rob-ford-...">http://news.nationalpost.co...

This very morning I was thinking that the Ford references in this video I made in May were no longer relevant. I was wrong. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watc..." target="_blank">" rel="nofollow noopener" title="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Py56OdFH30">http://www.youtube.com/watc...
