That is correct and I'm glad our author mentioned it. Jim Jordan is a callous, disordered man who- yells. Who can stand him? But how is he worse than Rob Portman if they've voted the same? Well, I spose he's worse because he generates lots of lies. I guess it's that Portman SEEMS ALL NICE, of course he does, but he's one of those old white guys who could do so much but won't-- say if he was your uncle and you went to him for help in desperation-- he'd say 'you'd better talk it over with your dad.' Old white dudes, why so weak ?

Well this is the biggest dilemma of our time. Why don't you try?

Do you think no one else has ever thought it might be nice to regulate Fox for accuracy? Every week I harangue my lawyer son with questions, "why can't they be sued over this?" He always says they can't. And the FCC isn't in that business-- can't interfere with content. Not so far anyway. You only have to be American to know this.

This will bring so much trouble! They get by because the put the prisons where there aren't any jobs. Maybe there are so many problems Biden is just plowing forward anyway.

I forgot about those tunnels. God, no babies ever materialized. Those people have got the lowest standards for their fantasies.

Did he give an example of what he meant by the Democrats being pushed to the left? You know, just for variety’s sake, a conservative who supports his political rhetoric with specific claims?

I just despise him so much. Sure, Rand is ridiculous and Mitch is pure evil. But with Jim Jordan, it's somehow the whole, nasty package that makes me want to throttle him every time he opens his vile mouth.

I'm thinking Dr. Amy Acton or Congressman Tim Ryan vs whatever hairball the Ohio Republicans cough up.

Congressman Tim Ryan, Mayor Nan Whaley, Dr Amy Acton. But they would have to run as moderate on gun control in particular or they would lose.

People like Portman piss me off more than the Ted Cruz's and Josh Hawley's who also piss me off but at least they're honestly corrupt.

In my own life and business I've never had a problem firing a bad client that I cannot countenance working with and more than once it hurt me economically. Either you have integrity under tough circumstances or you have none at all.

There's not a Republican Senator who really has less power than McConnell yet they follow him like the Pied Piper because he controls so much of the money they need for campaigns.

Most likely.

You just don't realize how bad things are until the MSM tries to make like Portman is a decent human being, of the kind we need in public office.

That's what they said about Amy McGrath (KY) and Sarah Gideon (ME) and Cunningham (NC) and Harrison (SC). Center-right "liberals" who ran away from the progressive policies they should have embraced. Same goes for the dozen plus House seats centrist/blue-dog Dems handed back to the GOP last year.

As for OH, Acton would be a plausible candidate, but Ryan is as much a neo-liberal hairball as any Republican.

I used to confuse him with Ron Johnson till I realized RJ was aggressively just so bad. And Portman looks a bit scared all the time. And it's that scared thing that's beginning to make me crazy-- it's this thing I've now gone on about in two posts!! These old white men, who COULD do all the good-- I mean in private life-- say you know them in private life, like they're your friend's father and you're in a desperate situation-- you're lucky if you know someone like that. An old white guy with access to funds and he knows people! Will he help? He might! But probably he'll be the least helpful because it's so important to him that all his important pals respect him so he won't do anything. Speaking as an ex-runaway. Besides, they're all pink and white.

Could she have done that to raise discussions or something? It seems to have been needless trouble. And in every other way she's perfect in her judgements imho.

I'd likejust once for someone to ask these republicans 'what do you mean by 'socialist'? I mean, to ask it and ask for an example. Would they say Obamacare?
