Jake Broe had a whole segment in his most recent video about this tweet, because it is really weird coming from Trump. Broe's actually hopeful that the Ukraine-relevant people around him (special envoy for Ukraine and Russia is Gen Keith Kellogg, who's been vocal about praising Biden escalating military aid; Mike Waltz, a pro-Ukrainian hawk, as NatSec Advisor) are getting through to Trump. And Trump notably sees Putin's weakness in his loss of Syria (and with it the entire middle-east and African theaters), and saw Zelenskyy get a standing ovation at Notre Dame.

The hope is that Trump wants to be a winner more than he wants Putin's favor, and might actually (I know, I remember whom we're discussing here) want to do the right thing.
