North Carolina has an ag-gag law, with a lawsuit in process, I think. It went as far as allowing a corporation or farm to due for damages if you record illegal activity and record it while on the premises of the corporation or farm. In other words, you would have to pay damages to a company found to have committed a crime involving mistreatment of animals or dumping animal waste, for example, if you discovered the crime while on their property.
I just watched "Reich Nation", a new political documentary on Netflix 2 days ago. Rage has viciously wrung all of the snark out of my little self. That hurts. And it keeps hurting.
Prevent was set up as part of a larger AntiTerrorism effort and, frankly, was indeed targetted at radicalisation of .. well, you can fill that in. That it is now turning up extreme right too is a little bit encouraging. Emphasis on 'little', frankly I will take even tiny bits of less than terrible news at this time.
