Voter fraud? Hmmm. Let's see:

-- "Find me" 8,000 some odd votes

-- Let's have a Klan rally at the Capitol to disrupt the official vote

-- Let's project endlessly about how elections are rigged

There is your motherfucking voter fraud.

Dave's Not Here's avatar

Unstately Markwayne manner.

Zyxomma's avatar

Ta, Dok. All the voter fraud I've read about (apart from the misled TX woman who may still be behind bars) has been committed by Republicans. They vote for their dead parents (often while cashing their SS checks also, too), or their spouses; they vote in both locations where they have homes. Even so, it is vanishingly rare. I have *never* read of a single instance where it would have changed the outcome of an election. But Dictator Tot screams about "rigged and stollen" and instead of tidying their sailboats and making delicious pastries, MAGA is convinced we're cheating because *they* would have no qualms about doing so.

The warning on the Virginia site, telling you about the computer fraud you might be about to do, does not have an exception theee for The Law. In fact, a *real* LEO could get a subpoena if they had evidence of a crime and wouldn't have to sneak into the voters' portal.

I hope at least some of these agents are smart enough to realize that doing illegal shit doesn't become magically legal just because your boss says it's ok.

DHS 'plumbers'. Where have I heard that term before?

Ya know, there already IS a system in place to check voter rolls for extraneous registrations.

"ERIC [Electronic Registration Information Center] helps its members track voter moves and purge their lists of duplicate registrations (Michael Mechanic vs. Mike Mechanic) and dead people (hopefully neither of those). It identifies people who are eligible yet unregistered. And after a national election, if requested, ERIC will produce reports flagging any signs of potential illegal voting—of a person casting ballots in two or more states or casting more than one ballot in one state, or voting on behalf of a recently dead relative, for example.

https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2026/09/electronic-registration-information-center-eric-red-states-withdrawl-election-integrity-attacks-maga-trump-administration/

But since it's done by individual states as part of a voluntary agreement, El Presidente hates it...

JunkYardDogg's avatar

It was known a few years ago that the software the Repugs use is highly inaccurate. True The Vote created software to do the same, which I think some states use that is a piece of shit.

I registered voters, but I don’t recall putting their social security number on the registration form. I don’t think that is done. That said, how could they have a voter roll data base with CORRECT social security numbers per each voter? As I have written previously, this is without a doubt, Deprivation of Rights under Color of….. criminal violations.

The Federal DOJ won’t prosecute anyone for this, but there should be state laws to prosecute under. However, there are probably no records which identify the person who removes a voter from the voter rolls.

swmnguy's avatar

Since Musk's DOGE boys stole all the Social Security database, they may have that information now.

Correct or not isn't anything they care about. The point is of course to obfuscate and sabotage, to give a smokscreen under which they deprive everyone of rights. Then they offer the decrepit judicial system as a remedy, which takes years and vast wealth to navigate.

They've always starved social programs and then claimed they don't work. Which they don't, because they were starved of the required resources.

Now they're simply cutting people off from those undermined programs, claiming fraud. Which the victims can't contest, as they have no money, or they wouldn't be on those programs.

That's the template for basic rights, as we see now with voting. Or even proving one's citizenship when rounded up on the street, not carry proof of citizenship as US citizens are not required to do. They certainly can't access their documents when they're being held incognito under torturous conditions.

But of course, they need to pursue remedies through the courts. With no money. Taking years. And possibly ending up in front of Trump judges.

The data DOGGY Style bois took went into the Palintir data base which is being compiled for every person in the U.S. That is probably what they are cross referencing.

455 Rocket Cat, Space Donkey's avatar

I chose my parents wisely. Paternal grandmother was born in BC, and her father died serving Canada in WWI, all records from Ancestry databases, not even oral history…had no clue. I think a dead grandpop hero will do the trick! Also, Alanis Morrisette is my cuz cuz.
