About time....

The President should give the State of the Union Address at the Pro Bowl. It might give both of them a ratings boost.

Any word on whether the State of the Union is "strong"?

They'll call them "job creators" a couple thousand more times.

The tax relief going to middle-class is somehow omitted from every headline about this proposal leaving only the tax increase half. Nevertheless, increasing taxes on wealthy remains a popular idea. Here's a related question (paraphrased) from CBS poll:

<b>Do you think the government should or should not do more to reduce the wealth gap?</b> 55% say do more (vs 39% say not). In the cross-tabs 29% of Republicans say do more (vs 65%) and 80% of Dems say do more (vs 15%) <a href="http:\/\/pollingreport.com\/budget.htm" target="_blank">" rel="nofollow noopener" title="http://pollingreport.com/budget.htm">http://pollingreport.com/bu...

Meanwhile Alfonse D'Amato, who last held an elected office when Google was still a little start-up, was bleating yesterday about how this will kill jobs and suggested the usual Republican alternative of a "tax holiday" for all that offshore money.

This is not good news for Rafalca.

Thank you for pointing this out. I've been disturbed for a long time about the number of people I personally know who seem to think that if they vote Republican, they, too, will become rich (unclear on exactly how but seems to involve depriving poor children of school lunch, etc., etc.) and be allowed into the club. These idiots have no clue that they will never get in, that they are simply lackeys for the Kochs and their ilk. Freaking amazing.

Only a socialist would suggest taxing the rich to help out the middle class! Impeach!
