For the "Well, Of Course, It Had To Happen" files today, we learn the attorney for Matthew Apperson, the guy who shot at American Second Amendment hero George Zimmerman last month, is planning on using a " stand your ground" defense, since it's Florida and everybody needs to stand their ground before the Atlantic Ocean swallows the whole state.
True. Years after college, I went back and took a couple of semesters of math at the local community college. Had I had that instructor in High /school, I likely would have been an engineer rather than a public administration type.
Recall a SF novel in which it was suggested that a knife was a better weapon for most purposes as a gun "made someone think he was 10 feet tall and covered with hair", while someone with a knife would tend to be far more selective in taking on others. .
