Amazing numbers of them have survived. And amongst gearheads getting back a specific car your family owned years ago is considered WAY cool.

Get them where most Americans get them - in Canadian border towns.

American businesses who want to invest in Cuba.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that right there why the Cubans eventually revolted and overthrew and went all socialist in the first place?

It would behoove Cuba to keep their relations with us VERY VERY guarded...

Like my friend, who is a non-rapey Messican would say "Que la lengua se te haga chicharrΓ³n"! And as a Cuban I would say, no muchas gracias.

Dude, I'm Cuban, and I can't wait for that day. It should have happened many, many years ago. That law is the biggest act of bullshit in American history. You give political asylum to people looking for "freedom", but you send back people that have risked their lives escaping true war zones. How is that shit fair?

That's a common mistake, US immigration law isn't based on what's fair, it's based on what can be snuck past a bunch of jingoistic racist assholes.

So... a lot like the rest of federal legal policy.

He truly is the Zapp Brannigan of international political relations.

All it took to win was nearly a lifetime of holding out and long periods of letting your people starve slightly.

I've been to Cuba several times and I've had a good close look at many of the classic cars. Most have original seats and body, but that's about it. Many have ruined the original dash by installing modern stereos and I have never seen one of those cars with an original engine, most have Lada engines in them. It could be an original parts heaven if all you want is the bodies for restoration projects.

Why has no one figured out that this is the *only way* to get things to change there? 50 years of this and 30 of butthurt over Castro hasn't done it. It also makes sense from a strategic standpoint with Putin doing all the passive aggressive saber rattling. Marco Rubio is too busy kissing ass to point that out, -or- he is truly too stupid to get it. Whether this is good for Cuba remains to be seen.

Yep. I don't think they are quite all in yet.

So our slavish deference to all things Israel and millions of taxpayer dollars in aid to that country should prevent us from not being imperialist assholes elsewhere. Got it, Ted Cruz.

Coming soon, but not a moment too soon: The "Aw shit" moment when Cubans lose their foot-on-dry-land automatic immigration ticket to our good ol' U.S. and A.

I can't believe that even Republican Jews are stupid enough to fall for that suck-up move. Then again, they ARE Republicans. So there's that.
