A bunch of anti-Muslim extremists in Texas were attacked by a couple of Muslim extremists yesterday, proving that America needs to take much more extreme measures to protect itself from Muslim extremists. In the Dallas suburb of Garland, Texas, the charming folks of the "American Freedom Defense Initiative," Pam Geller's happy band of Islamophobes, were holding a widely publicized contest to find the bestest possible cartoon of the prophet Mohammed -- a $10,000 prize to the cartoon that best captured what Islamophobes think is funny -- when two men drove up and shot an unarmed security guard in the ankle; Garland police officers returned fire, killing the attackers immediately.
Yes. Yes she is. This is a woman who gets outraged that food processors certify their food "Halal", which is pretty much the same thing as "Kosher". Just substitute an Islamic cleric for a Rabbi. In fact, they usually do both at the same time.
Is there any evidence (other than just saying so) that Elton Simpson was a Muslim, or even a "Muslim extremist"? Sounds more like the kind of guy who couldn't figure out how to fill out a passport application and book a flight to a third country. In other words, a morAn.
Not to pull a reverse Alex Jones, but c'mon... it was rather convenient that an event that otherwise would have maybe made Dead Breitbart and WND (and the object of snark for Wonkette) is suddenly front page news internationally. And, it sure looked like Geller and her merry band of bigots were prepared to spin the story, before it even became a story.
Let's see. A pack of goons throws an event specifically designed to provoke other goons to attack them. The other goons oblige but are quickly shot dead by the goons hired to protect the goon event. Is that an accurate summary of what transpired down there?

Like standing up in a crowded theater and shouting "FIRE!!!", how is this a freedom of speech issue? Surely this is not so called "protected" speech.
Additionally, how is this a freedom of speech issue when the government did not attempt to squelch this event?
