It isn't quite yet ancient history that the Sunshine State gave us great Democratic leaders such as Claude Pepper and, more recently, Bob Graham. Stranger things have happened. Not often, though.

The only difference between Republicans before Trump and MAGA Republicans is that MAGA is more obnoxious, but also arguably more honest. It's what the GOP has been building to for decades without any varnish over it. It's guys being openly racist with their bros versus guys being openly racist in public. I don't know if being out in the open instead of hiding in their holes is better or worse.
It's really something that this piece of shit is at least honest that MLK was radical and anti-capitalist because most right-wingers try to pretend he was a fluffy teddy bear who would support the GOP today based on that criticism of white liberals that they like almost as much as that "content of their character" line. It's easy to claim him as your Black friend when he's dead and can't tell you he doesn't like you.
