Need another reason to hate Florida's governor with the fire of a thousand suns melting the ice caps to drown the state, even though you're not allowed to say that there? Probably not, but Rick Scott is nothing if not ambitious, so here ya go, have some more hate for the guy:
He now says his support for Medicaid expansion was a calculated move designed to win support from the Obama administration for the state’s proposal to hand over control of Medicaid to private insurance companies. At the time, he denied that his support was tied to a deal with the federal government.
Oh really? So, back in 2013, after his mom died and Scott, fervent opponent of Obamacare, held a press conference on the teevee and said "losing someone so close to you puts everything in new perspective . . . especially the big decisions," so he'd come to Jesus and seen the light and realized he could not "in good conscience, deny Floridians the needed access to health care" and besides, "The Supreme Court's already made their decision. We had an election in the fall, and the public made their decision" -- that was all bullshit? And he didn't mean any of it at all? YA DON'T SAY.
We're so not shocked to learn that he was faking it all along and didn't mean a word of it, we can hardly pretend to be shocked. This is the same governor who announced in April that he'd changed his mindagainand didn't want no dirty Obamacare dollars stinking up his state after all -- like he'd originally said -- and then announced a few weeks later he was going to sue the federal government to give him healthcare bucks for Florida's low-income insurance program, instead of expanding Medicaid with Obamacare dollars. Scott kinda cares about the uninsured Floridians, you know. It's not like he wants them to die from lack of access to healthcare. It's just that he'd rather let them die than take money that has Affordable Care Act cooties.

The governor was in DC this week to beg for $1 billion of federal money to keep funding his Low Insurance Pool program, which expires in July and is like the Medicaid expansion under Obamacare, only not as good because, among other reasons, it would still leave 800,000 Floridians without insurance, UNLIKE OBAMACARE. He got nothin' but a stern look and a "Why don't you just expand Medicaid through Obamacare, you asshole?" from HHS Secretary Sylvia Burwell.
Because he's an asshole, that's why.

I thought he was Voldemort.
It's the "liquid" part that brings it all together!
