One of my friends is a teacher in a FL district that did basically that, decided to open with distance learning for the first quarter and then reevaluate. The school board immediately got a threatening letter from the governor’s office saying the state will sue them.

The main problem with political jokes is that sometimes they get elected.

If I were a Florida parent I would tell de Santis to fuck himself. I am not alone. Is he going to sue every careful parent in the State?

This is NOT a medical thing, it's not even a very good hoax.Mehran Keshe is a notorious crackpot and his foundation is just a scam to sell snake oil to people who think they understand physics. No medical or scientific organisation worth speaking of would do anything but laugh before putting any proposal involving "GANS plasma", (let alone WATER that's been 'charged' by plasma) directly in the trash.

Florida man.

CNN had a segment on some biker jamboree in South Dakota. Over 250,000 bikers from around the country are defending onto a town with a population of less than 10,000.

CNN interviewed some biker guy who looked to be in his late 50's early 60's who said he rode all the way from Florida to South Dakota for the jamboree. When asked about the potential danger of Covid-19, he asserted it was all a political hoax very matter of factly. He did not have a mask and none of the bikers did either.

The town's population was not particularly happy about all of these people and some businesses refused to open despite the potential for good business.

A medical expert commented that this will bring Covid-19 from around the country very effectively and spread it around the country very effectively.

My absolute sympathy. 😢 This is such a nightmare for teachers. I wonder what they did in 2018 with schools? Another thing to look up.
