I had back surgery a couple of years ago and the surgeon I originally talked to just rubbed me the wrong way and there was no way I was gonna let him cut on me. He may have been a perfectly capable surgeon, but what an arrogant asshole! By he time I was scheduled for the surgery he was no longer employed by that particular hospital. I got myself in trouble with a nurse, though. When she told me he was no longer there I said "I don't think that's a bad thing." She got pissed. I think she may have had a thing going on with him.
Sure sounds like it.It can go either way, they are assholes because they are so good at what they do they get cocky, or they just are used to deference, like Ben Carson.
