See, here's the thing.

Bari Weiss was working at the Times, writing for the OpEd pages. She seemingly forgot that she was with a bunch of people who wrote about their Opinions for a major publication. Among their opinions was that they didn't like her and they were not shy about letting her know that.

So she picked her stuff up and left, crying victim all the way home.

Now, if only Bret Stephens would do the same...

It's amazing just how much money from daddy David Ellison has to throw around on projects like acquiring Paramount and putting Weiss at the helm.

The pivot from "I'm going on a mad spending spree to acquire companies" to "oh, we've all got to tighten our belts and that means some of you might lose your jobs" seems almost inevitable at this point.

Isn’t there a general or an admiral they can evict so she can join her comrades in military housing?

That's a lot of money to spend just to prove you're stupid enough to believe that there is political violence on the left.

Ta, Robyn. I saw part of one episode of Entourage. I found it boring and dull, just like this reboot.

Think of them as just ten more people who won't like Bari Weiss.

Is there a betting pool somewhere on whether Stephen Colbert will make it to May?

Bari Weiss is both a privileged princess and a perpetual victim. Whiny, insufferable, and forever wronged by an army of supposed enemies that she imagines are always ready to attack her for being Jewish and lesbian. If they were to make a new live-action version of Alice in Wondeland, Bari would make the perfect Queen of Hearts.

Meanwhile, one thing she is NOT is a journalist. They qualify her background as "opinion journalist." But most of those who are allowed to become opinion columnists in major newspapers have a background in actual reporting and journalism. The entitled Bari does not. She's just a mouth runner, and her mouth runs really big. God, what a nasty corner of Creation.

Yet more evidence that we've gotten into the stupidest timeline.

Robyn, as long as unsubscribing is an implied consequence, maybe make it a point to mention, every single time, that CBS is owned by Paramount. That's kinda important, since unlike CBS, Paramount actually relies on subscriptions, rentals and sales for its revenue, not advertising.

A more complete list of Paramount holdings can be found here:

Off topic, but I remember watching Lisa Ling on Channel One when I was in high school. She's a year older than me, so she had a professional journalism job while college age. Now she's laid off by some delusional, self-important professional whiner.

Bari Weiss is one of the most appalling, narcissistic or narcissist-adjacent, navel-gazing stupid cows ever. John Oliver's take down of her and her ridiculous "Free Press" was grand. Columbia, you have some 'splaining to do! (Unless you let in a lot of people like her, in which case it's intentional and I don't want to have to care about you at all.) Now that she has "fuck you" money, she's going to be able to annoy all of us like a drug-resistant STI. Yes, she is a total BEC for me now.

Getting bodyguards is just an indirect way of saying that liberals are violent. Weiss may be unaware of the Impregnable Fortress phenomenon, in which, the stronger you make a fortress appear, the more it becomes a lure and a challenge to attackers. We’ve seen this with the Alamo, Baden-Powell at Mafeking and the Louvre. That said, I hope no one does target her, nor can I imagine anyone getting obsessed enough with her to try.

Maybe Bari can hide in the basement at the Alamo.
