We should be so lucky. That racist drug addict is superfluous to humanity's requirements.

There is such a strong odour of pathetic about these ‘looksmaxxing’/pickup artist dudes. Some almost fractal sense of getting it wrong. Like every level of getting it wrong you look at, there’s infinitely nested layers of wrong below that. An ugly twisted mix of hatreds (probably for some of them for themselves) and especially oblivious, unthinking materialistic obsession. You’ll look at them and think okay but wait just to start with here so the object is to win women? But you seem to hate those. Just what is this twistedness?

A sense of omnipresent misery, too. Like they’ll make anyone unfortunate enough to be in their orbit miserable, themselves miserable. Grifter and griftee, perp victim and bystander, it’s like anyone anywhere near this thing is in some kinda cloud of miserable, some of the more unfortunate/just unlucky enough to know them wondering wow universe what the fuck did I do?

On the one not exactly bright side, but maybe the instructive one: there’s something so cartoon primary colour and blatant and juvenile about their misogyny, it’s almost like, hey culture, exhibit A in its trial. They kinda remind me of dudes I met in kindergarten who were all ick girls we can’t play with those or talk to those we’ll get cooties and other boys will question our boyness or something.

(Except, you know, that with rape.)

Cmon it's not like women don't also smash themselves in the face with a hammer in pursuit of the perfect jawline. Take Guilfoyle for example, I'm sure she has.

If that ever happened I think she would have contracted it out and put it on her AmEx card.

The internet and [anti] social media has done real damage to people, especially the younger generations, who lack even basic skills like speaking politely to another person on the telephone, engaging with a new person face-to-face, and not simmering in antisocial rage.

There is a weird obsession among the righties, especially men, who fear the baby making statistics are down and the human race is in real jeopardy. The irony is how difficult it is today for normal, healthy, kind people to meet and trust potential partners. I don’t have the data, but it sure seems more toxic out there today than say, 1995. If you can work on yourself first, developing communication skills and honesty and character and kindness, you’d be surprised how people respond to that.

I can only imagine the kind of woman who sees one of these looksmaxxer dudes and says, I want that. Yikes.

The only thing social media has accomplished is to create constant rage as a money generator taking over people's lives. That is what Zuckerberg and his ilk have created. Can you imagine some nerdish asshole who created media to use to rate women--which was the initial intent of Facebook--and has created a monster that has overtaken the lives of so many Americans. All it does is fuel constant rage against strangers and lead them into darker and darker paths. Instead of uniting people throiugh positivity, it has created darkness and has been a tool used in racism, misogyny, drug and sex trafficking, among other bad behaviors.

There's something to be said for curb appeal, but some women don't seem to mind a fixer-upper.

What’s the old saw? Women marry men hoping to change them, men marry women hoping they’ll never change, and both are disappointed.

So, lies. It will teach it lies.

Miss Grundy's avatar

Don't go to see "The Social Reckoning" because that media was created to spread lies. Constantly. It is one of the main reasons this country is so divided because it feeds on the lies and creates paranoid, hateful people.

I for one desperately need to dump over seven grand for a boot camp on how to hammer my jawline into submission. I mean, who wouldn't?

---

Well, apparently my appetite is slowly returning I guess. Cereal is comforting, even if--and please don't judge--I eat it while reclining in bed and watching YouTube. Finally finished my antibiotics, and may I never have to take them or deal with their side effects again. Yesterday, the home nurse said my stump looked fantastic, which was nice, even though when I looked at it, the area looks red and splotchy. (I'm going with the nurse's opinion and chalking up how it looks to just normal healing.) Pain is under control, and it has been two days since anything came out violently after I ate it. (Sorry for the TMI.)

Working on my next grocery order for the week. The only soda: Fresca, which I love and is quite literally one gram of carbs per can. Besides that, plenty of water--including some flavored with acai and grape--English muffins, strawberry cream cheese, apple sauce, and some other stuff. And the water isn't just for drinking by itself, but also for making Gatorade because I...don't like the water from my faucet here. (It's very...sulfurous. I'll wash with it, but for cooking and drinking? Bottled water all the way, unless I can get a Brita filter. I'm gonna text my landlady tomorrow to ask if the water is normal for the area. It makes me miss the tap water I grew up with.)

I've got two episodes left on The Pitt, and I'm debating whether or not to start that tonight or wait until tomorrow. Either way, it shall be enjoyed with orange sherbet. I think I love orange sherbet far more than any other kind of frozen dessert, including my beloved cream cheese ice cream. Weird.

Last bit: You guys are awesome for offering what you have. I appreciate it, and hopefully either tomorrow or Thursday I'll finally be able to get out of the house. I'll even go to Walmart and give them back their piece of sh*t keyboard.

In a former job, I had a colleague who had rocked a brown mustache for decades and looked good with it. As we (men) get into the 40s and our hair turns white in unpredictable patterns, his mustache turned white on the sides to the left and right of his nose. It took most of a year for someone to clue him in that from about 15 feet away it looked like a Hitler mustache. He hasn't had a mustache since.

He is a very nice man, and he just needed to be clued in about the impression that dual-colored mustache was giving.
