My beloved husband is a Navy vet. He had the day off. I did not. He drove me to acupuncture this morning, then to work. He really, truly is the best. I paused at 11:11 today to hold him in my heart.

Marcie, I actually am a vet and though my Vietnam era fellows are passing from the scene now, none of us I'm certain have ever considered this president our friend. The idea of service is so alien to him, and likewise the concept of gratitude for others who did serve and that includes the police. He is a pathetic individual in every respect and shouldn't pretend he honors vets. I've winced everytime he's laid a wreath at Arlington.

"And he will not ever think about what the US government owes — morally, financially, and otherwise — to our service members and allies who are still living. Only what they might do for him!"

Asked and answered. The Fulvous Fuckwad is incapable of considering what's good for someone else, anyone else, and what the gubmint might owe them, especially those in the military who were wounded or captured and Gold Star Families. He thinks that these brave servicemembers amount to nothing more than "losers and suckers."

"It is completely unacceptable and it is completely unacceptable when it comes from our commander-in-chief," Congressman Ted Lieu, a California Democrat, told reporters on a conference call.

Trump's [sic] alleged remarks as he canceled a visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery in France two years ago.

A rainy day made Trump [sic] concerned his hair would be mussed, but most offensively, the Democratic lawmakers lamented Friday, the president reportedly declined the visit because it was unimportant to go to a cemetery "filled with losers." https://lieu.house.gov/media-center/in-the-news/congressional-veterans-slam-trump-reported-comments-military

Maybe Hegseth has been getting reports of "narcotics" on boats from Ahmad Chalabi. Or more likely from rival drug gangs too eager to have the US military's help in murdering their adversaries/competitors.

By the way, "narcotics" by definition could be an ounce of marijuana in someone's coat pocket, they are not even saying.

I had a pet rat named Twinkie who as clever and fun to play with as several of the dogs I've had. That rodent was SO clever; even my parents were fascinated with him.

Having a little friend like him with Cat the Ripper in residence is, unfortunately, out of the question.

This is a fucking disgrace.

The 'American Battle Monuments Commission' is a US government agency and even they are doing the Republican white nationalism 'whitewashing' of history. I guess you can't spell DIE without DEI . . .

"A Dutch war cemetery added displays showing black US soldiers. Then they were quietly removed"–https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/nov/11/displays-black-soldiers-african-american-margraten-cemetery-netherlands

"The Netherlands American Cemetery near Maastricht holds the graves of 8,301 Americans who died liberating Europe from the Nazis, including 174 African Americans.

In 2023, the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC), which runs the site, opened a visitor centre and last year added two panels: one on the million African Americans who enlisted but were “fighting on two fronts”, against the Nazis in Europe and against America’s racist segregation policies.

Dutch historians and politicians, as well as relatives of the soldiers, say the change coincided with the Trump administration’s targeting of diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Earlier this year, an article detailing the military career of Jackie Robinson, a baseball player widely considered an American hero, was removed from the Department of Defense’s website amid a purge of material considered to be DEI-related. It was later restored."
