Today is the Israeli election, which will change nothing. Bibi will die before he goes to jail. Eisenkot won’t stop the ethnic cleansing in Gaza or the West Bank. It will take until January to form a coalition that will exclude the Arabs, because the Israeli Jews don’t want to work with Arabs. Hell, the Haredim don’t even want to work with the secular and Reform. The IDF is stretched to the breaking point in terms of manpower, and the Reservists have broken. The IDF has been showing signs of an undisciplined mob, like the French Army in 1917, the Russian Army in 1917, and the German Army in October 1918, and the US Army in 1969. Mutiny and desertions to follow. Then we shall see that no one attacks Israel when the IDF and Shin Bet fall apart, because everyone will just be glad the killing has sort of stopped, and no one wants the Negev, Tel Aviv, or even El Quz, except the Arabs who used to live there. That will be a great shock, but there will be hasbara to explain it.
And hey, if he's in the US, surely Ruben Gallego can subpoena him in January to appear before House Oversight to answer questions on covert US admin collusion with Meta to interfere in the first round?"
Our mommy blog wonders what is wrong with Matthew Yglesias. But I must caution everyone that Matthew Yglesias also has a right to privacy and whatever is wrong with him is between him and a competent mental health therapist. That therapist can refer him to a psychiatrist if the need arises.
