When there are no facts involved it’s just a racist opinion.

I know. Who drinks that muck?

I cut myself off from them permanently when I read the CEO thought water rights should be in the hands of private corporations. The fact that he said that out loud and has not been taken out by a real life James Bond yet is extremely upsetting to me.

Sadly, there aren’t enough people who care about child slavery for a boycott to make a difference, or it would have happened by now. Nestle using slaves to harvest cocoa has been public knowledge for decades.

If an individual was caught enslaving children for years to work a farm, they wouldn’t be given four or five years to stop doing it (or else...nothing, really). They’d probably be held without bail and imprisoned for life. Why do we allow corporations to get away with this?

Well, no rain tomorrow, warming up a little (above freezing) with rain Wednesday, colder again Thursday and Friday with no rain.

Wise and damned cozy.

Regardless of where you live it's important to have plans in place for extreme weather. At this point in the 21st century there is NO excuse for not making an effort.

You are, of course, correct. I had forgotten that part. I was thinking about reading this book (but not sure how deep I want to get into it). Chocolate Wars: The 150-Year Rivalry Between the World's Greatest Chocolate Makers by Deborah Cadbury

Pipes will freeze at 32 degrees and below if they're exposed at all.

I have been doing the best I can to boycott Nestle, and have been for years (since the mid 1970s). It's difficult though, since they have over 6,000 fingers in various pies. They also want to own the world's water. They are American Republicans on steroids as far as their morals and ethics go.

The Swiss have a nasty streak, when it comes to making money, ie Swiss bank accounts for hiding or laundering money.

These sets of villains seem to hire the same writers.

It's going to take time, but after the Panama Papers fiasco a lot of countries including the US have adopted rules requiring disclosure of who the actual beneficial owners of these companies are. With luck they'll be a lot less attractive in the future.
