The GOP and it's Ministry of Propaganda (Fox "News") , needs to be put down before their case of frothing-at-the-mouth, right wing rabies spreads any further.

The Outrage Machine. It doesn’t need to be true. Wingers love any clip or soundbite taken out of context that twists their bits. It’s their thing. And if they wanted to discuss ACTUAL problems with rape in America, like how prevalent it is, and the lack of healthcare now available for rape victims because of conservatives, and victims’ fears of being attacked, doubted and bullied for coming forward at all, begin there. Instead they mischaracterize a damn tv show and then panic about it. I guess their “point” is that NO victim would ever consider any factors in the legal process except throwing the book at the perpetrator, but at the same time those victims must embrace the rape baby in their womb? Because life is precious? Conservatives are just a mess.

Wokey woke woke woke woke. Why? Are they upset about an old TV show? I haven't a clue.

It IS an old TV show. But it's also a current TV show. It's older than the median age in a handful of southern states. Both old and new...I'll bet that throws the FOX crowd for a tumble.

Well they certainly seem to want women who were raped by DT or certain Supreme Court nominees to be 'good little rape victims'.

Yes-- shouldn't they be choosing their battles? Lately, I could almost believe they're against anything they've never thought of before. But, if a woman was 'ra*ed' by a demoralized conservative old "star" who was so burdened with trial dates he didn't know where to turn-- so burdened and pitiful that she decided not to report the rape-- I think they'd applaud that patriotic girl.

So conservatives watch the "Lamestream Media"? It's like they all bought TVs with no off switch or channel selector.

Plug the thing in and get instant outrage.

The last thing I watched the "outraged" me was how Glen died in TWD. I know how to work my TV to avoid that (except when I watch "my News and hear all the FN shit conservatives [and that Orange Pig] are doing.)

I didn't mind SVU. But I haven't watched it in years.

I need an "Outrage Inducing Bumpersticker" because somedays I feel like going all REACHER on them. MAGA IDIOTS. ARGH.

"Who will stop the liberal tyranny of this one episode of “Law & Order: SVU,” new episodes airing Thursdays on NBC and old episodes airing at all times on all networks?"

Ya-know, there's a Twilight Zone plot in there somewhere. <scratch chin emoji>

I've never watched an episode of <i>Law and Order</i>.

However, I am an obsessive fan of comics by artist Xanthippe Hutcheon. She made a comic over six years ago where she expressed her dislike for cop shows:

Two points; I have never, ever watched an episode of SVU, nor do I intend to. It's very ubiquity seems to me a sufficient reason to shun it. After all, Fox Noise is the most popular basic cable channel, and what does THAT gruesome little nugget tell you about what American whitefolks like?

And I forget the other one.

This is really the point

I don't think Evan intended to bury the lede, but folks in the comments missing it look like Sandra Bullock in that movie where she wears a blindfold the whole time
