The QAnon Cretins are, of course, all over this. And they have a code name for Mrs. Obama! Be prepared to be pissed off, though. As you probably know, the QAnon Cretins are convinced Michelle Obama is really a man. So they call her...

...Big Mike.

And yeah - they ARE absolutely scared shitless of her. Do not ever think they aren't and as we all know, the QAnon Cretins ARE the base of the GOP.

"As with all things with white right-wingers, it’s about fear. They’re terrified of Taylor Swift, and they always have been, because she’s powerful, she’s cool, and people adore her. Swift has said a million times she has zero interest in politics, but they’re so panty-pissing scared of her and they’re so disconnected from reality that a part of them hears that and thinks, “She WOULD say she’s not interested in politics, wouldn’t she?”

I had moved to Bend, Oregon, because I used to climb rocks and mountains, and I got a job at REI. I was talking with my former friend-turned-fascist about how cool it was that every third car seemed to be a Subaru driven by an attractive woman with great arms. Dude said, "I don't like women who are stronger than me". Man, talk about taken aback. I was like, "whut whut?" That kind of attitude was new to me then... I didn't know what to say.

I love you guys, but they are not terrified of Michelle Obama on the right. No one Democratic politician terrifies them. Barack Obama got elected twice sure but they largely stopped him from doing what he wanted to do in office. What really terrifies them is breaking the filibuster, getting rid of the electoral college, right wing propaganda channels being sued into oblivion, these large systemic changes are what could really fuck them up and that’s what we need to fight for.

Met him on an Outlaw Country Cruise. Super nice and INSANE. Most people say, "Hi, nice to meet you" when introduced.

Mojo said, "Hey, let's do shots!"

Yoo just wrote an amicus brief for the ballot exclusion thing, arguing that “the breadth of the term ‘insurrection' … is, in the absence of legislative definition, uncertain and indeterminate.”

With friends like that, the court doesn't need enemies...though you can count me amongst the latter. Stack!

Heh, I've seen that analysis done live on the BGP internet backbone and it's terrifying. These people are pikers compared to what they see.

Probably a million attacks per second.

Today I am have Chinese New Year lunch with some family members. None of us are Chinese. And it's not really New Year yet. Plus Chinese takeout is not really Chinese food. It will be a triumph of artificiality.

Shocktreatment's avatar

Hmmm, music from "tribute" bands and a couple mannequins...

Jen's Taking Greenland's avatar

It might not be really Chinese food, but it is likely made and sold by Chinese-american people, so it is still a support venue.

Also tasty.

The Chinese restaurant I visit most often now -- solely because it's open after 11pm -- is run by a bunch of Latinos. So that's a little weird.

Mx.le Maerin's Luxury Comedy's avatar

...you mean there are Chinese restaurants that *aren't*?

JCfromNC's avatar

The one I usually go to was run by a Chinese couple, who I think have sold it to a new Chinese couple. They do have Latino cooks, though, I'm pretty sure. The original couple, the woman worked the counter and the guy cooked, but the other cooks/assistants looked like they could be Latino.

Jen's Taking Greenland's avatar

Not really!

Some of the best chefs come from lower north and actual south America.

I could totally see that
