So, were they suppose to see JFK and Elvis at this superbowl, too? Just checking.

"Why would someone as popular as she is alienate — and I’m not saying you know, what’s going to be, ‘Yeah, people are going to hate her’ — but why alienate your fans and Swifties?"

She made her first political endorsement in the 2018 Tennessee senate race and made a couple of others after that. If her "being political" (i.e. supporting abortion rights, women's freedom, and freedom generally) alienates her fans, she wouldn't have set a record for the highest-grossing tour ever while singing songs like "Slut" and "The Man."

I don't get it...why aren't Repubs super-duper excited to harness their OWN incredible star-power from the likes of Kid Rock and Ted Nugent?

This may sound pollyannaish, but I believe there's an upside to this. A lot of mainstream Amercians don't follow politics the way we do. They probably know that the MAGA crowd is a bit goofy but I honestly don't know if they realize how unhinged they are. I truly believe the Taylor hate is going to wake up a lot more Americans how batshit crazy and dangerous that demographic is.

Apparently Swift has managed to bring about a music--fashion--professional sports--a-geddon.

Keep pissing off the Swifties, republicans, I’m sure that won’t have any blowback for you. 🙄

Don't know how true it is but I heard a story that Swift trained for the Eras tour for 6 months, by running on a treadmill for 3 hours at a time, singing the entire set list, out loud.

I await the video of any MAGA types attempting this.

I wouldn't be surprised. She's so badass. (Autocorrect was totally convinced wanted to write something else. )

Does Taylor Swift need Secret Service protection?

(not entirely a joke, btw)

So corporations are people, but Taylor Swift is . . . not?

It is not that she is a people but rather that as a woman she is a second rate people.

We really need to repurpose the term “swiftboating” to describe MAGA’s terror of Taytay. For karmic reasons alone.

Payback for the original ludicrous swift-boating. I like it. Maybe she can wear an olive drab jacket that says "I really care...why don't you?" and start a new trend. All the Swifties would wear them. too. That would be great. Someone should get on that and donate the proceeds to the DNC senate election fund.

Middle aged people, especially men, have no understanding of her appeal. Talk to young women and girls, they'll tell you all about it. I have, and she speaks to them like no other entertainer.

Think we can get Taylor to kneel during the anthem?

i may be wrong (and often am) but i thought that ms swift urged people to vote etc without stating who to vote for? like, she was urging participation not a specific party (her values are self evident if you listen to her songs, so it's pretty clear she's not voting R, but still)

All anyone will ever say across the future will be "she told them to vote Democratic." People are always griping that they were made to do things, when really they just did them, and now they've changed their minds. I say this bc there are Black conservative women who are outraged-- having been forced to vote Democratic by Democrats who lied, telling them there was racism against blacks. Which there isn't! They were forced onto the Democrat plantation. Out of the mouth of Newt Gingrich.

Goddamnit, republicans, please don’t make me root for the Chiefs just to make you have a sad.

Um, I thought all Americans were allowed to take part in the political process.

So, Fox is saying that all Americans except Taylor Swift are allowed to take part in the political process?

I honestly believe a lot of them are secretly jealous that the left has all the A-listers on it's side while the GOP has batshit crazy has-beens.

You didn’t see fine print that said liberal leaning entertainers are supposed to just shut up and sing.

This message brought to you by the same people who pee themselves with excitement whenever Chachi comes out as MAGA.
