"You would be shocked, Piers, at some of the names"

So why aren't they naming them? I mean this seriously. The perpetrators names are not supposed to be redacted, so can't members who have seen them just spill?

Mace will name names. She'll do it on the House floor, where she's covered by the Speech and Debate clause.

She's terrible, but she wants the Epstein files public.

fair_n_hite_451's avatar

I've been wondering this as well. The DOJ is breaking the law by not naming the names ... so why is Congress not just doing that?

House0fTheBlueLights's avatar

I think it needs to be someone other than Mace, though, who has no credibility in this area, having abused S&D in the past.

Well, she was playing to an audience of one and she defended his honor and she does't need to do anything more. Yes she looks unhinged to everyone else but she did her job well, in his mind.

Fox calling her a “shrill Karen” is the tell.

When a woman’s job is to cover for powerful men, she’s “strong.”

When she starts failing at it, suddenly she needs to “tone it down” and “smile more.”

Accountability is never the problem.

Tone is.

I'm living in the Upside Down. Nancy Mace is the voice of fucking reason? Did I drop some acid in my sleep or something because this is wildly hallucinogenic, right?

...but I love the way, whenever any Re-puke agrees with a Democrat, or they are starting to do the right thing, they always have to say "both sides". Do I think there are Dems in there? Sure, and it's disgusting. Do they amount to more than 2% of all the implicated (mostly) men? I highly doubt it. But they never miss a fucking opportunity to "both sides" everything.

maybe it's me, I assume lawyers are quick witted and can think on their feet

needing a "Burn Book" says a lot about AG Bondi's ability in that area

Normally "lawyers" are also following "the law" (at least in terms of how it defines the rules of the game being played). She is not doing that.

The latest copium for magats on the bad bunny show. They got tired of pulling large numbers out of their asses for Kid Rock viewers (last I saw was 45 million), because they kept being told it was 6 million and half as much as the Puppy Bowl. So now they're saying that 50 million people turned off Bad Bunny because they were disgusted with the show. They're not saying that those people watched Kid Rock, they're trying to convince themselves that a bunch of people think like them.

Didn't watch it live, just on Youtube after reading Michael Mora's postmortem here on Monday afternoon. After viewing the first 30 seconds or so it would have been impossible to turn it off before the finish. Now that's what ya call talent. kids.

My cynical self thinks that Nancy Mace's words come more to shore up her tanking SC gubernatorial race than from doing the right thing…

So if he wants to fire her wouldn't he first line up a replacement? Finding someone willing to step into that job might be a bit difficult.

Maybe Bobby Jr.? Matt Gaetz, again? Laura Loomer? How about Ben Shapiro?

My guess is none of the above or anyone else wants the primary job of protecting pedophile monsters.

So I guess it will just have to be Marco Rubio.

The knock-off Swiss Army knife of Trump appointees. He hasn't been "You're Fired" yet. Go L'il Marco.

It'll have to be somebody who already has Senate approval, and on an Acting basis. Because I'm damned if I can think of anyone 1) who could clear Senate approval whom b) Trump would appoint.

irish379's avatar

don't "Acting" appointments have a time limit?

swmnguy's avatar

Oh, you mean Law Thingy? Yeah, sure, probably.

(Yes, they do. Does that matter to this gang? They'll just put Rubio in charge of everything, and let Todd Blanche run the joint as he's doing already.)

eppe's avatar

Most of the ones so far are acting like fools. Sadly, whether in or out of government there is no time limit on that.

Out in the West Texas town of El Paso

Hegseth spent millions to shoot a balloon

.

Nighttime would find him in some DC dive bar

Pounding down Stolis, the room it did whirl

Blacker than night were the souls of his handlers

Wicked and evil while casting their net

He was in deep for the oligarch's rubles

The compromised bastard would never say 'Nyet'.

.

One night the Space Force detected some mylar

Caught in the West Texas wind

Pete got right on it, he wiped off some vomit

Then closed down the airspace and ordered a gin

.

Created by Fox News and Vladimir Putin

Ineptitude covered in lies....

It's bad times for Hegseth, he can't find an exit

And he knows that everything Trump touches, dies
