There'll be less conservatives voting when they die of old age. No need to daydream about violent crackdowns. That shit might fly in Egypt, but not here.

Remember, Wonkette is nice people, goddammit.

The obvious solution is that everyone needs to wear a man-portable version of a Phalanx at all hours. Then, anyone who so much as blinks funny will be blasted into next week!https://www.youtube.com/wat...

You mean to tell me that real shooters don't shout a catch phrase before everyone rolls 20-sided dice to see who goes first?

Fuck, this changes everything.

I don't know why it took me so long to realize it, but "he can't get us all?" What about those high-capacity clips that are the only things separating us from TYRANNY?

Oh, I'm sorry to offend you with my wanting a society that outlaws dangerous uncontrollable (after the trigger is pulled ) projectiles. Obviously that means I wish for violence. Not really my fault if the chips fell that way. Any way it was just a joke, so go fuck yourself

Actually, the real reason it wouldn't happen is that the New Black Panther Party have sadly swallowed nutjob propaganda that Planned Parenthood was founded to kill black babbies . (It's actually a dirty secret that all that wingnut prepper/anti-vaxxer/Illuminati propaganda was originally black nationalist conspiracy theories about AIDS from the 1980s. Like rock'n'roll, they stole it and forgot where it came from.)

I thought Rush Limbaugh had already been doing that for 30 years.

I have a friend in Louisiana who is fairly intelligent but believes every conspiracy theory out there, and he swears that Tulane University developed HIV in a program funded and supervised by the CIA specifically to kill all the black people. He was a student at Tulane at the time and says it was common knowledge. My response to him is "It didn't work very well, did it?"

I just wish every discussion about 'armed responders' at these attack sites would be accompanied by the simple math about net effect.

Benefit: Armed responded MAY have been able to shoot the bad guy without injuring bystanders and thus prevented between 1 and 3 deaths:Cost(s): --Several million dollars purchasing weapons for every possible bystander at every possible attack site in Colorado Springs area. --Several million dollars increasing arms for police so that they will have military superiority to local residents when needed. --Approximately 60 civilian deaths per year (just in Colorado Springs area!!) due to increased gun proliferation among citizenry, broken down to: --35 gun suicides, --11 murders by family member/acquaintance where alcohol/drugs/infidelity factors into motive, --9 accidental deaths and --5 criminal homicides by 'bad guys' who obtained guns either through legal purchase or illegal purchase from original owner.

Sounds like a swell plan. Millions and millions of dollars and 60 dead to maybe save 3! Woot! Smells like victory!
