I'm sure that the fact that the median job tenure is now less than 5 years has absolutely NOTHING to do with anything at all. Why would anyone would be cautious about making a 20+ year financial commitment when you will have to renegotiate your salary 5 times in the intervening period? I mean it's not like the odds that said salary will go up every time are basically nil and that most people who started working when we were babies have seen their real income stagnate or fall over the time it takes to pay off a mortgage or anything.
