Brian Fitzpatrick was not the incumbent in PA-08. That was Mike Fitzpatrick, no relation, who did not seek reelection (thank god). Mike came back in the 2010 shit show after having been ousted in 2008. Brian is an independent, but it is totally unclear if he's of the more moderate sort or tea party sort. Mike's supporters had actually launched a campaign against him. I was very disappointed he won, but he actually hasn't totally been voting the Trump party line. Anyway, moral of the story, Bucks County voters are fucking idiots, like a lot of suburban/rural parts of the country, except for me!!
I am losing faith in 2018 lately and it is depressing, although Evan is certainly pointing out some positive signs.
