Dude, the notion that the White House has a "bench" of position players just waiting to be sent in ignores that it's the Trump White House. They don't have a bench; even their starters are a gaggle of unqualified losers, cosplaying amateurs and YouTube grifters LARPing at having a real job. And most of THEM are unavailable for anything other than what they're already doing because anything else would require Senate confirmation, which even Trump knows they can't handle.
And apparently, Karoline Leavitt is the Vince Lombardi of shameless hacks. Granted, that would have been a great line if the writers had actually said it in so many words, but no. Dudes, can you not see when you've got the money quote of the entire article right there in your notebook?

I watched the Watters/El-Sayed fight last night. This may be an unpopular opinion, but in the context of the broadcast it wasn't a slam dunk for El-Sayed. Once the quotes are separated by the media he is far more impressive and certainly correct. I'm convinced, though, that the delay between anything Watters said and anything El-Sayed said was intentionally manipulated. There's no reason for latency like that with today's internet speeds. It made it look like El-Sayed was pondering his answer too long and then responses ended up in a blur of crosstalk. The good lines got buried.
1 - it wasn't a "fight"; it was an interview. Contrary to what the Bigoted Blowhard Fascist Regime would like us to believe, this isn't WWE or any other game show.
This is electoral politics, and getting it wrong in the upcoming elections will have even worse consequences than what the country is collectively suffering through now.
2 - You complain that "it was not a slam dunk". If you demand a "slam dunk" from any political candidate for any U.S. office, you are likely to be disappointed 100% of the time.

It's the shit I hate about these shows, but particularly Fox. I said "within the context of the broadcast." The dialog wasn't a conversation. It was Watters' show and he'll never let you forget it. El-Sayed's message was consistent and I'm behind him 100%. I just don't think the broadcast displayed him at his best.
