"Trump’s legal teams live by the old adage it’s better to poop in the sink than sink in the poop. And sometimes you gotta do a little bit of both."

Fuuuck our judicial system is so goddamn broken. Rich rapists can get sleazy operative and sleazy lawyers to throw enough sleaze around to smear everyone while the bottom 99% barely even gets a day in court.

Ta, Marcie. TFG's sleaze factor is too much for me. You know, along with all the crime and stochastic terrorism and fascism.

Before closing arguments on Friday, please let the plaintiffs produce a surprise witness from Ukraine, via Giuliani, with ties to Russian intelligence services. Got to be one in an American prison somewhere.

"Ms. Willis, did the petitioner undertake the acts that he is accused of prior to the beginning of the relationship in question?"

A: "Yes"

"So you can say for certain that the status of your personal relationships is not a predicate factor in the willful violation of the Georgia Election Code and the statutes under which the petitioner is charged?"

A: "Correct, I can say with 100% certainty the crimes would have occurred even if Tom Willis from The Jeffersons was holding this office."

"No further questions"

It should really be that simple.

I read something somewhere explaining how the judge set out seemingly reasonable parameters for what would be the purpose of the evidentiary hearing and how way off it’s gotten.

Republicans could make a case about Jesus being biased. According to stories he hung around with prostitutes, assaulted money changers at the Temple, and told Satan to go to hell. Sounds pretty disreputable and biased to me. Not to mention stiffing all the food vendors when he fed the entire crowd at one of his rallies with one fish and one loaf of bread. Sounds like witchcraft to me.

Welp. Democrats, keep the Spitzer Principle in mind and keep your personal life clean when you're fighting corruption and/or Republicans.

Also anyone who didn't vote for Abrams in 2020 despite carrying Biden, Warnock and Ossoff is excused from complaining about any fallout of Fani Willis being turfed off this case.

McAfee is 100% MAGAT or he never woulda took this case in the first place.

I'm not sure about that. All of the judges in Trump trials keep letting him use one dumb delaying tactic after another. No matter who appointed them.

But, they can be appointed by anyone and still be MAGAT.

"Oh, and lawyer Steve Sadow sent versions with Willis’s and Wade’s unredacted phone numbers to a right-wing reporter, and they soon wound up on social media, leading to a new round of harassment and threats"

How the fuck is this shit even legal, or at least non-sue-over-able?

Brandenburg test gives a veeeeeery high bar to clear to get charges for shit like this. You narrowly have to directly intend harm with explicit directions to get a charge there. So the First Amendment allows people to do things like this and cause stochastic terrorism.

It becomes increasingly difficult to see the Trumpistas as particularly distinct from domestic terrorists now. Knowing their arguments are without merit, the tactics now are essentially to try to intimidate their legal opposition.

Seems to be Trump's M.O.: intimidate... If that doesn't work, try intimidation in a different way, and so on.

Willis: I have great longing for you dear

Wade: As I have for you

Willis: I will shower you with gold!

Wade: But how?

Willis: Complex multiparty criminal litigation against the former president and his cabal of loony lawyers and right wing hack operatives

Wade: You could just bake me some cookies

Willis: No! Only gold and rubies wrung from far flung RICO cases cooked up for you!

Wade: Such dismal rights to take our pleasures. So be it.
