Hey, killing them <i>is</i> healthcare! There are drugs involved, hypodermics, IVs, and the poor guy will never again suffer from the heartbreak of psoriasis.

Well, that's true. Having bought pentobarbital on occasion for our lab to euthanize animals, i can attest to it being very cheap. I guess paying enough for a US company to manufacture it would require raising taxes and we can't have that. True fact: I was doing my postdoc in a Downtown Area of a Very Large City and was sent to the attached hospital to get pentobarbital. This involved signature, more signature, locked door, locked cabinet, etc etc…and then I was given a large bottle of injectable pentobarbital, clearly labelled, in a transparent plastic bag to carry out onto the street.
