Yes. There is no option for the people to vote directly in a referendum. (An amendment is unlikely.)

The red legislature that a majority voted in will make a law and the governor that a majority voted in will sign it.

The voters who are going to be upset but who could have made a difference on this have to look in the mirror before they vote again.

Then again, Marshall retired and was replaced on the Court by Clarence Thomas, so Georgia could argue that he'd never been on the Supreme Court at all.

well no, those novels may have had ideas or things in them that made them think about uncomfortable things, like other people's lived experience, and that would be inconvenient to their cosy lie of 'everyone is as big an asshole as i am'

I'm still in the "F*ck it--expand the Court" camp.

I like this Judge McBurney, that was some excellent shade thrown at both the SC and the Georgia legislature.

That might be a sensory gating issue called misophonia, my daughter has it and she has a terrible anxiety response to certain mouth related noises, like chewing. She uses her ear buds a lot 🙂

I’m personally not ok with anyone taking away my right to make my own decisions about my own body regardless of how well they understand biology and anatomy.
