One of the most important rules Carl Swensson and Thomas David Deegan could learn from their failed overthrow and foiled seizure of West Virginia's government is no different than the rules for Fight Club:
RULES FOR COUP CLUB:#1 Don't talk about Coup Club.#2 Never talk about Coup Club.#3 Lastly but not leastly, never, EVER publically announce the future scheduled date of your coup, overthrow and seizure of a government.
Throughout mankind's history of treasonous, traitorous, seditionist acts in pursuit of couping, overthrowing and seizuring of governments, we've learned one irrefutable fact. The fact is that publically announcing your coup date weeks ahead of said scheduled coup date has never ever, not even once lead to a successful coup, not even a little.
The only time coup dates should be publically announced is if the plan involves some sort of Trojan Horse trickery, some double-reverse espionage to distract the targets whilst couping them, overthrowing them and seizing them elsewhere.
But we're talking about sovereign citizens here who deem themselves constitutional scholars, masters of American history and the bravest patriots who ever braved. So, the odds are somewhere between zero and duh that these geniuses were planning some double-reverse Trojan Horse-type, James Bond kind of coupy caper.
I don't get the impression that the sovereign citizen movement is more (or less) racist than the general level one finds among RWNJs. It more about the grift.
