Think globally, act locally. I wonder if I can get my block association to ban abortions on our street. If that fails, I'll try the board of my co-op.

This article needs to be stapled to the forehead of every one of the 88% of the under thirty crowd who couldn't be bothered to vote and must remain there until they replace it with an "I voted" sticker.

Hey kids, given that 99% of you are sexually active (or certainly hope to be) guess who is most affected by this bullshit? Guess who is gonna face having a kid whether you want one or not, once the Fundies take away your access to birth control and abortion? And yet, according to my informal survey of Hooters waitresses and supermarket grocery baggers, almost none of you could even say which day the election was, let alone know what the issues were or who was running in your area.

So Rossville's not into drama, and their comedy is certainly weak at best, so exactly what is their genre?

A cute little town like that can't afford any drama, what with the protestors and all. It just ain't seemly for small town life. If'n ya have to sacrifice the health and safety of a few women, well it's worth it. Ya' gotta protect your values ya' know.

Everybody knows there's never any drama around Methadone clinics. Why those are wonderful happy places where every few days lines of people gather just to share and chew the fat. Why there's old Mr. Prescott just jawin' it up with sweet old Gabby Farley while they wait to get their fix. And isn't that ol' Crazy Willie just sittin' and a laughin' while he carves those patterns into his arm. There goes the Bailey twins, them l'il scamps, always a pokin' and a stabbin' at each other to get just a little more Meth. I tell ya' there's nothing like small town life.

Wouldn't it be easier to just ban protesters? Seeing as how constitutionality isn't a big concern for these people...
