The answer depends on party affiliation of the would-be voters in question, of course.

Couldn’t tell at first if your headline photo was a moldy Krispy Kreme donut or a moldy peach.Or, perhaps (shudder) the view from #DirtyDonald’s toilet bowl.

Oh that's a rotten peach. For a minute there it looked like some yummy deep-fried peach chunk donut with powdered sugar in the middle. Damn.

He's had a pretty solid 42% for the past year or two. I look at 538 and Morning Consult almost every day, HOPING his numbers will move, but they are stuck there permanently. They've ticked up slightly since the impeachment has started.

I actually think a recession has started, but I don't think most people have noticed it. I watch the real estate market in my city very closely, and houses are taking a lot longer to sell than they did two years ago. The holiday selling season has also been quite weak. Unfortunately, it's happening too late to really hurt Trump's re-election campaign.

Yeah, I haven't looked on 538 in a while until earlier today, because of the poll in the other thread*, and saw the same thing. Still not enough for him to win, necessarily, hopefully.

I think you're right on the real estate scene, it's similar down here. I have a friend that's a very good economist, he's been telling me for months now that there's a housing bubble coming , but it's being ignored and downplayed. He predicted probably next year, and recently moved his investments into safer funds, and I did the same.

I can't say that I want that to happen, but the economy is cyclical and they've gutted the protections, so it's just a matter of time, along with Trump's other fuckery. Not sure how many people will also reward Trump with the economy's failure as they have with its success. I guess we'll see what happens.

*Edit - whoops, it's this thread, just below...

WHAT DO WE DO TO FIX THIS?

Part of me would LOVE to see Trump get re-elected, so he can take the blame when the economy tanks, but I would only want that to happen if we could regain the Senate, because I do NOT want any more of his crappy incompetent judges appointed to the federal judiciary. Also, I'm not sure I can live through another 4 years of Trump having unfettered reign over the government.

No, of course not, I'm sure you're we're just imagining things. Georgia would never choose which people to purge based on how "ethnic" their names look, now would they?
